Ezra Carwile founded the company in 1961 in Cookeville, TN, then a small town of 6,000. What began as a business focused on servicing refrigerators and stoves quickly grew as demand increased. “Contracting took off,” Ezra recalled. “People knew us, asked us to do more and more, and we just accommodated them.” That same mindset of service and adaptability continues today under the leadership of his children Gary and Janice and grandchildren Josh and Erin. Together, they’ve expanded Carwile Mechanical’s reach well beyond Cookeville, extending into Middle and West Tennessee, continuing a legacy of growth, integrity, and excellence with no plans of slowing down.
From the beginning, Ezra Carwile built this company on more than skill, he built it on purpose. His commitment to improving the lives of others, constantly learning, and staying focused on the future continues to guide Carwile Mechanical today. Through generations of leadership, our team has upheld those same principles, striving to create lasting value in the work we do, the people we employ, and the communities we serve. It’s this foundation that drives every decision we make and keeps our vision moving forward.
The management is top tier. They communicate with you well. Their doors are always open so if you ever have a problem, they’re available to go talk to them about it.
